So, what will our graduate programme give you?

Our new 2 year graduate programme will help you start your journey in the world of eCommerce. We will help you learn and develop the right skills and knowledge to succeed in whatever area of the business you work in. The programme will help you to develop your career in the direction that you want it to go, be it to be the best techy in the business or a future leader of projects and teams.

You will be part of an amazing group of graduates who will be starting off their career journeys with you. The programme will include lots of different training, from industry recognised professional qualifications to softer business skills and bootcamps to understand our wider business and prepare you for the ride! Most importantly you will get real on the job experience, working with some of our amazing teams and clients. The main thing is you won’t be on this journey alone, this is all about you all learning, sharing and supporting each other as you go!

What are we looking for?

Whilst a science or engineering background is great, your love of eCommerce and you as a person is the most important thing to us. You need to take ownership of your work and show initiative and drive to resolve problems. At times your work will be stressful, but it will also be fun. Imagine a University assignment deadline but on a massive scale! You need to be able to work with a team and to adapt as the projects you are working on change and develop. We love our grads to become an integral part of the teams they work in and of course challenge us to do better for our clients.

We will be recruiting across 3 different business streams, but don’t worry you don’t need to decide which one yet. You'll be placed on one area in line with your preference, technical aptitude, and soft skills. Through interviews and group exercises we will help you find your perfect fit in Wunderman Thompson Commerce & Technology!

Project Management

This team is at the heart of knowing what our clients want, finding solutions and making things happen. After a grounding in the basics of digital projects, you will spend 6 months as a Business Analyst gathering client requirements, analysing business needs, and improving processes. The next 6 months you will take on project management and learn how we effectively manage and deliver our projects to the clients. If you are a people person, love a good process and problem solving then this may tick your boxes!

Service Operations

We are critical in keeping our clients operational. You’ll be surrounded by uber techies and business savvy people involved in everything from solving complex problems, fixing and restoring services, building tech, to designing new services, sales support, strategy, and contract negotiations. You’ll gain a great understanding of what we do in Support, Technical Operations, Service Delivery, and Strategy. If you like a fast paced environment where you can be challenged, operations is where you should be.

Engineering - Testing, Back End & Front End

Our Engineering team is full of techies that are integral in delivering quality websites and apps for our clients. If you're an aspiring Back End or Front End developer looking to build your skills within the eCommerce industry, the development route may be your calling (you'll need some level of experience with coding/computing). In a Testing role, you'll be responsible for quality assurance, to make sure there are no faults/defects in what we design. If you're a problem solver passionate about quality with a keen eye for detail, Testing may be for you.

Consultancy & Analytics

Our team is at the heart of defining our clients growth strategies and solving their complex business challenges. Firstly you will work on consultancy engagements across strategy definition, audits and business transformation. Next, you will learn how we improve experiences for our clients customers, supporting user experience, user interface design, service design and research. The last placement will be working across data insight and site optimisation. If you are a critical thinker, enjoy solving problems and tackling new and exciting challenges then Consultancy & Analytics could be for you.
