Adobe acquires Magento for $1.68bn
On 21st May 2018, Adobe Systems Inc. announced it acquired Magento for $1.68 billion. This new partnership for Adobe and Magento represents a great opportunity not just for both companies, but for the market in general. Combining Adobe's market-leading content creation platform and pedigree in the content personalisation and analytics space with Magento's commerce capabilities, it raises the potential of creating a fully integrated platform enabling brands and retailers to provide data-driven, content-rich, personalised commerce experiences.
The acquisition of Magento into the Adobe offer now gives them a full stack capability to support clients across acquisition, experience and commerce underpinned by strong analytics and data. This deal also reinforces Magento's move to an enterprise level service provider.
