Wunderman Thompson Commerce and Shell win highest honour at the Davey Awards

We are delighted to have been awarded an exclusive Gold Davey Award for our work with Shell Helix at the 16th Annual Davey Awards. Selected from nearly 2,000 entries around the world, judged on our distinctively creative work and scoring over 90 points out of 100, we were one of 10% of entries to be presented a Gold Davey.

The award recognises Shell Helix’s first global direct to consumer website, allowing Shell to sell more volume of Shell Helix passenger car engine oil in Egypt. Consumers in Egypt can now purchase and schedule an oil change service using the Online to Offline (O2O) experience.

Delivered in English and Arabic by Wunderman Thompson Commerce in just 12 weeks, on the Shopify platform, Shell are now able to capture consumer data and deliver an enhanced customer experience based on real insight. The business will now be able to optimise media and cross-selling opportunities based on insight gained online and share it’s learning with other markets going forward.
