Front End Architect, UK - Watford
As the Front End Architect for Wunderman Thompson Commerce, my role consists of identifying opportunities to introduce new technologies, maintaining and updating standards and style guides, defining the front end strategy for all projects at Wunderman Thompson Commerce, and being involved in projects as early on in the process as possible in order to recommend the best front end technical stacks for new projects. I’m also passionate about developing the front end community at Wunderman Thompson Commerce, as I personally believe that team collaboration is hugely important to any business. The clientele and reputation of Wunderman Thompson Commerce preceded itself and was something I was instantly attracted to.
At Wunderman Thompson Commerce I get a buzz out of improving the quality and performance of current project, and being able to break down silos that have hindered the progress of front end technologies.
I think Zero UI is going to be the next big thing – it kind of already is, but people are still getting used to the tech. Amazon Alexa, Google Home and Apple Homepad are paving the way. When you pair these with IoT devices, these technologies become very powerful.
My 21st-century problem is emails – I’m terrible at keeping on top of emails, mainly spam or promotional emails. I tend to leave them and hope they’ll just go away. I currently have 3,659 unread (personal) emails.
If I could have a superpower, I would like to fly - I live in South East London and the commute to Watford is a drag...
